YES. A HINDU BY BIRTH, I AM .
AM I PROUD TO BE A HINDU ? ..I USED TO BE ONE, AS HINDUISM TO ME WAS A PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE SANS AN ESTABLISHMENT RULING OUR LIVES, BUT I AM NOT SO SURE IF I AM A PROUD HINDU NOW IN 2020.
TO ME LOVE IS GOD, TRUTH IS GOD AND MY INNER VOICE WE CALL CONSCIENCE IS GOD. I DO NOT WANT ANY MAN BETWEEN ME AND MY GOD. THANK YOU.

20 - CAA AND BENGAL,

Why is Max Resistance to CAA, Coming from Bengal ?

I am trying to Understand why Max Resistance to CAA is coming from BENGAL and CM Mamata Banarjee.Very Few Indians in 2020 know the full history of Bengal so let us take a look with some help from Professor Google

Lets us take a look at history of Bengal

Partition of Bengal 1905 - 1911

Partition of Bengal 1905 by Lord Curzon
Bengal, Bihar, and Orissa had formed a single province of British India since 1765. By 1900 the province had grown too large to handle under a single administration. East Bengal, because of isolation and poor communications, had been neglected in favour of west Bengal and Bihar. Curzon chose one of several schemes for partition: to unite Assam, which had been a part of the province until 1874, with 15 districts of east Bengal and thus form a new province with a population of 31 million. The capital was Dacca (now Dhaka, Bangl.), and the people were mainly Muslim.

The Hindus of west Bengal, who controlled most of Bengal’s commerce and professional and rural life, complained that the Bengali nation would be split in two, making them a minority in a province including the whole of Bihar and Orissa. They regarded the partition as an attempt to strangle nationalism in Bengal, where it was more developed than elsewhere. Agitation against the partition included mass meetings, rural unrest, and a swadeshi (native) movement to boycott the import of British goods. The partition was carried through despite the agitation, and the extreme opposition went underground to form a terrorist movement.

In 1911, the year that the capital was shifted from Calcutta (now Kolkata) to Delhi, east and west Bengal were reunited; Assam again became a chief commissionership, while Bihar and Orissa were separated to form a new province.

The aim was to combine appeasement of Bengali sentiment with administrative convenience. This end was achieved for a time, but the Bengali Muslims, having benefited from partition, were angry and disappointed. This resentment remained throughout the rest of the British period. The final division of Bengal at the partitioning of the subcontinent in 1947, which split Bengal into India in the west and East Pakistan (later Bangladesh) in the east, was accompanied by intense violence.

Bangladesh War: (Extract from Wiki)
The Bangladesh Liberation War মুক্তিযুদ্ধ Muktijuddho), also known as the Bangladesh War of Independence, or simply the Liberation War in Bangladesh, was a revolution and armed conflict sparked by the rise of the Bengali nationalist and self-determination movement in what was then East Pakistan during the 1971 Bangladesh genocide. It resulted in the independence of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The war began after the Pakistani military junta based in West Pakistan launched Operation Searchlight against the people of East Pakistan on the night of 25 March 1971. It pursued the systematic elimination of nationalist Bengali civilians, students, intelligentia, religious minorities and armed personnel. The junta annulled the results of the 1970 elections and arrested Prime minister-designate Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The war ended on 16 December 1971 after West Pakistan surrendered.

In 1969 over one or two million refugees came to India from East Pakistan and they were fleeing as West Pakistanis controlling them were not Bengalis but Urdu speaking muslims. They were also escaping famine and later the War when Indian planes were bombing the hell out of east Pakistan and people living along the border fled to Indian Territory to stay alive.

My classmate Rajendran became a fighter pilot in IAF and flew many sorties into East Pakistan. Now those two million refugees have lived in India sans citizenship as illegal migrants since. Today it is estimated that Bangladesis in India are about 20 million both Hindus and Muslims

In 50 odd years they have not created any trouble and are not terrorists. Modi and Shah want these 20 million people to go back to Bangladesh leaving everything behind. For this to happen India will have to give Bengal and all of Assam to Bangladesh.

Divide and Rule Principle

Tamil Nadu which included Andhra was split into Tamil Nadu and Andhra and then Andhra was split into Andhra and Telengana States.

Indian Politicians use the Divide and rule Principle just like the British did and people of the region suffer for no fault of theirs
